The Arizona Cardinals may be without one of their top defensive players when they face the high-powered Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.

Defensive end Calais Campbell appears to have suffered a calf injury during a bye week practice last week and his status for the Falcons game is uncertain at this time. Campbell has registered 3.5 sacks this season and would be sorely missed if he can't go. Campbell, a five-year veteran out of Miami (FL) is probably Arizona's best lineman against the run. He also has put sustained pressure on opposing signal-callers in the Cardinals' 3-4 defensive alignment.

Vonnie Holliday would start in Campbell's place if Campbell can't suit up. Nick Eason and David Carter could also fill in as well.

The Red Birds will also certainly miss left outside linebacker O'Brien Schofield, who suffered a season ending ankle injury against the Packers. The third-year Wisconsin product has ligament damage that requires surgery. He has been placed on injured reserve.

So who replaced Schofield in the starting lineup? Quentin Groves – Groves will be backed up by Zack Nash. It will be quite a challenge for these players against one of the best offenses in football.
