Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell is expected to play in the Rams game this Sunday in Glendale. Campbell has been dealing with a calf injury and missed the Falcons contest.
The University of Miami product ranks fourth on the Cards in tackles (37) and third in sacks (3.5). His return will be welcomed because he will be one of the key players that can dial up pass rush pressure on St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford.
Elsewhere, cornerback Patrick Peterson appears to be fine after missing a part of the Falcons game due to cramping.
Quarterback Kevin Kolb (chest, ribs) is likely to miss his fifth straight game. It looks more likely that he'll be ready to return on Dec. 2 when Arizona travels to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to face the Jets.
How did he do?
Left tackle Nate Potter made his first career start in Arizona's 23-19 setback to the Falcons last Sunday. He seemed to block well and helped LaRod Stephens-Howling (127 yards) to a career best rushing day. Potter did allow two sacks though as the 4-6 Cardinals continue to struggle with their offensive line play.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone – have a safe and happy holiday!
