The search continues.
For a head coach. And a general manager too.
The Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden this week regarding their head coaching vacancy. Former head coach Ken Whisenhunt was fired on Dec. 31.
Gruden, 45, is the younger brother of former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden. He has been the offensive coordinator of the Bengals since 2011. Prior to that, Gruden was the Head Coach and General Manager of the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League in 2010. He also spent seven seasons as an offensive assistant with the Bucs from 2002-08.
The Philadelphia Eagles have also expressed interest in speaking to Gruden regarding their vacant head coaching position left open after Andy Reid was fired last week.
Regarding their search for a new general manager to replace Rod Graves, the Cardinals interviewed Washington Redskins executive Morocco Brown in Washington, D.C. this past Friday.
Cardinals Vice President of Player Personnel Steve Keim is also a candidate as well. Keim is in demand though, having already interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the San Diego Chargers for their respective general manager vacancies.
